Rashford brace helps Manchester United to 4-0 win at Old Trafford

Solskaer’s United came into the game searching for their first win of 2020 following on from a string of disappointing results. Meanwhile Norwich had it all to do if they were to get a result, especially without Canaries talisman Teemu Pukki due to a hamstring strain.

Rashord opened the scoring for United in the 27th minute, the striker latching onto a Juan Mata cross at the back post to convert.

Rashford doubled the lead for United in the 52nd minute via the penalty spot. The England international making his 200th appearance with a brace.

Anthony Martial converted a header in the 54th minute, another Juan Mata cross finding the United striker.

Mason Greenwood made it 4-0 in the 76th minute, the 18 year old striking the ball on the edge of the box finding the bottom right corner.

The result see’s Manchester United remain 5th in the Premier League. Solskaer’s side trail a Champion’s League spot by 5 points currently. Whilst Norwich remain rock bottom of the Premier League, 7 points from safety.
