Sporting Ferret Tip Of The Day: Day Two Of Cheltenham Festival

The Sporting ferret team have selected their tip of the day  for day two of the Cheltenham Festival.

Tip – Tiger Roll and Defi Du Seuil double to win.

3.30pm: 2m Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase (Grade 1) (Class 1) (5yo+)

With the likes of Altior and Chacun Pour Soi being recently pulled from the Champion Chase Defi Du Seuil sits as firm favourite to win the Grade 1 race with little other competition left to challenge the 7 year old horse.

The gelding boasts an impressive record of 6 wins from 8 races at Cheltenham including two Festival wins. Jockey Barry Geraghty takes the ride who has 10 wins from 13 when riding Defi Du Seuil.

With only four other horses in the field Defi Du Seuil should comfortably take home the Champion Chase.

Defi Du Seuil sits at current odds of 4/11 to win the race.

4.10pm: 3m6f  (X-Country) Glenfarclas Chase (A Cross Country Chase) (Class 2) (5yo+)

Tiger Roll looks to set his name into the record books this year with the opportunity to win a third consecutive Grand National, a feat that has yet to be accomplished yet. If the 10 year old can pull off the victory at Aintree he will join the infamous Red Rum in winning three Grand Nationals, becoming the second horse to ever do so.

Tiger Roll faces off in the Cross Country Chase today and is also chasing his third consecutive win in this race. The 10 year old, who goes off of a rating of 171 today, is miles ahead in class from the rest of the field.

Jockey Keith Donoghue rides the gelding today, the jockey riding him to victory in the two previous Cross Country Chases. The horse favours the distance and course and will be chasing his fifth Cheltenham Festival win.

6 year old horse Easysland comes as the chief threat to Tiger Roll, the French horse winning his last 6 races. However it will likely be too huge of a step up in class for the horse to take on Tiger Roll.

Tiger Roll is at current odds of 5/6 to win the race.
