LeBron James Signs New Max Contract Extension

After helping the Los Angeles Lakers win their first NBA championship in a decade, LeBron James is close to signing a two year max contract worth $85 million.

James’ entire NBA earnings will amount to $435 million by the end of his current deal.

The signing of this new contract with the Lakers, means his contract will expire when his son Bronny James will be able to graduate from high school and move into the NBA.

James, 35, has shown no sign of slowing down as he notched 10.6 assists per game which was the most in the league. James won his 4th finals MVP and was the first player in history to win the finals MVP with three different teams, twice with Miami Heat, one with Cleveland Cavaliers and his most recent with the LA Lakers two months ago.

The Lakers start their NBA championship defence with a tough start against neighbours Los Angeles Clippers on the 22nd of December and then go on to play the Dallas Mavericks on Christmas day.
