Scottish Premiership Opening Weekend Fixtures

Scottish football returns to action tomorrow with the first round of fixtures of the 2020/21 season.

The eighth season of the Scottish Premiership, Scotland’s highest football division, kicks off with Aberdeen hosting Steven Gerrard’s Rangers in a 12:30 kick-off at Pittodrie.

Newly promoted Dundee United begin their campaign with a home game against St Johnstone tomorrow afternoon, while Hibernian entertain Kilmarnock at Easter Road.

Last season’s 5th placed finishers Livingston are away to St Mirren, also a 3 o’clock kick-off.

Reigning champions Celtic are at home to Hamilton on Sunday as they pursue their 10th league title in a row.

To complete the first round of fixtures, Stephen Robinson’s Motherwell travel to Victoria Park to play Ross County on Monday at 7:45pm.

All games will be played behind closed doors.

The 12 Premiership clubs have voted to increase the number of substitutions usable during a game from three to five for the entire upcoming season.

Scottish Championship, League 1 and League 2 are set to start a shortened season on October 17th.

Heart of Midlothian welcome Dundee to Tynecastle in the Championship after being relegated from the top division.
