Fury Vs Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury have mutually agreed on a two-fight deal.

Britain’s elite heavyweights Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua have agreed on a two-fight deal.

Anthony Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn tells us that “we are moving in the right direction and I’m very confident now that both guys have given their blessing for that fight to go ahead”.

“The financial element in any deal is always the most difficult [and] “were in a great place where both guys have basically agreed on, what that deal should be”.

Fury (WBC) vs Joshua (IBF, WBO and WBA)

Fury currently stands as the undefeated WBC heavyweight champion, whilst Joshua holds the IBF, WBO and WBA belts.

There are many obstacles to overcome before this fight can happen. British boxer Dillian Whyte is planned to have a mandatory shot at the WBC title in February 2021, which comes before this fight ever happening.

Wilder vs Fury trilogy

Before Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury can face off. Joshua must fight mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev, while Fury is contractually obliged to face Deontay Wilder in their trilogy.

Venue offers will be flying in to claim this historic fight. It makes perfect sense for a British heavyweight clash to be in the UK. However, After Joshua reclaimed his titles against former heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz in Saudi Arabia, anything is possible.

The positive news is that the sport of boxing is giving their fans what they want. After big fight offers have faded away in the past, the heavyweight division is finally giving us something to look forward to.

Tyson Fury quickly took to social media to confirm the two fight deal next year hopefully in summer 2021. Tyson Fury announces on Instagram that the “Gypsy King vs AJ is on for next year”.

We hope you enjoyed the article ‘Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury Confirmed.’ Who will be crowned the king of the heavyweight division? Let us know!

My name is Gurpreet Shubh, it has been a huge dream of mine to establish myself as a well-respected boxing reporter for a major broadcaster. After a brief meeting with the sport in 2017, I immediately fell in love with the sport, training under Welsh boxing professional John Kaighan and Jimmy Bromfield who have both been the reason for the production of multiple Welsh champions: Chris Ware to name one. Surrounded by a wealth of knowledge, I had no choice but to soak up every ounce of information I could recollect. Understanding the sport on a deeper level, I was able to read between the lines of the fight itself and begin to breakdown the fight. Something has clicked, this was my lightbulb moment. I believed at this moment I could pair my degree in English Literature and Creative writing with my love for the sport of boxing. I hope we as enthusiasts of boxing we can share our ideas together.
