Long Jump World Record
WATCH: Mike Powell 19-Year-Old Long Jump World Record of 8.95 metres
Mike Powell of USA holds the world record for the men’s long jump with a jump of 8.95 m (29 ft 4 1/4 in)
Mike Powell’s jump is the furthest since 1995. Iván Pedroso jumped an incredible 8.96 metres in Sestriere in 1995, this was declared invalid due to the measured wind of +1.2 and the person stood in front of the anemometer probably intercepted the correct wind measurement.
