My name is Gurpreet Shubh, it has been a huge dream of mine to establish myself as a well-respected boxing reporter for a major broadcaster. After a brief meeting with the sport in 2017, I immediately fell in love with the sport, training under Welsh boxing professional John Kaighan and Jimmy Bromfield who have both been the reason for the production of multiple Welsh champions: Chris Ware to name one. Surrounded by a wealth of knowledge, I had no choice but to soak up every ounce of information I could recollect. Understanding the sport on a deeper level, I was able to read between the lines of the fight itself and begin to breakdown the fight. Something has clicked, this was my lightbulb moment. I believed at this moment I could pair my degree in English Literature and Creative writing with my love for the sport of boxing. I hope we as enthusiasts of boxing we can share our ideas together.
