Mcgregor and Cerrone weigh-in at 170lbs ahead of UFC 246

Both fighters made weight ahead of their welterweight bout on Saturday 18th January. Mcgregor and Cerrone came in at the top end of the welterweight limit, both fighters hitting the 170lb limit (77kg.)

This weight see’s Mcgregor at his heaviest ever in a UFC fight. Mcgregor’s previous heaviest weight was 168lbs in 2016 when facing Nick Diaz, which was the Irishman’s last welterweight bout. Mcgregor’s record at welterweight currently stands at 1-1 with both a win and a loss to Nick Diaz.

Mcgregor had the option to fight at lightweight with a weight limit of 155lbs, however he opted to move up in what he feels is his natural weight.
